The mountains and the sea- one of the most beautiful combinations. This painting reminds me of that. There’s a place I walk in the morning during the summer where I can sit and watch the mountains meet the sea. There is something so incredibly humbling- centering, even- about that place. On the back of this canvas I have written, “The eye of the storm.” The creating of this paint was exactly that for me- a moment of calm, of peace, of renewal in the middle of a very challenging time.

This painting was created as part of the Brand New Day collection, celebrating resilience and hope despite the failures, disappointments and challenges we face in ourselves and in the world around us.
